A completely student-initiated and driven project to redesign Cornell University's campus waste system. Waste Not aims to reduce post-consumer waste contamination, prevent diversion to landfill, and ultimately achieve a zero-waste campus.

 

We target post-consumer waste practices by redesigning bin signage and product labeling to create a campus-wide consistency, clarity, and uniformity: choosing which bin to throw away a Starbucks cup or salad container should never be a problem.

 

Ultimately, let's reduce the amount of products that enter the waste stream in the first place. We're designing creative community-focused solutions to incentivize consumers to reuse.
